Healing Isn’t About Fighting Harder. It’s About Finding Calm In The Chaos.

When you’re living with cancer, a chronic illness, or caring for someone you love, life can feel like it’s split in two: the before, and the after.

You’re left asking: What now?

That’s where The Serenity Project comes in.

Created by Bron Watson — nurse, mother of five, business owner, and cancer survivor (twice) — this is a sanctuary where evidence meets soul. A place to breathe when life feels too loud. A place to connect when you feel unseen. A place to find your own version of serenity, even when things are messy.

The Serenity Project helps you accept the things you cannot change and embrace the things you can
The Serenity Project offers a strong suppor system for those affected by cancer

Why We Exist

Bron has lived the “what now?” moment — twice. She has cried the tears, felt the silence when no one knew what to say, and scrolled Dr Google late at night only to find herself down deep in the vortex of fear.

What she longed for wasn’t more statistics or instructions, or another program of a thousand things “to do”. She needed a space that said: you’re not broken, you don’t have to fight, and you don’t need all the answers.

The Serenity Project was born to offer exactly that.

What You’ll Find Inside

The Serenity Project isn’t another medical website or heavy support group. It’s designed to be light, supportive, and deeply human, and to complement all the amazing specialist groups running across the country.

As a member, you’ll receive regular guidance from trusted experts — psychologists, social workers, exercise physiologists, therapists, experts who have what we call the ‘lived’ experience — always delivered in short, practical sessions.

Alongside this, you’ll have access to simple practices that you can use anytime, carer-specific pathways, and monthly live circles where you can connect in real-time.

Each month will have a new theme, new tools, and new people to meet.  If we don’t know the answer, we will find someone who does.

You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in projects and exclusive member-only activities. If you have something you know works, let’s share it. The community noticeboard inside the collective is the place to be.

And let’s not forget finding the sparks of joy — small challenges and reminders that a bit of fun and humour is still possible, even on difficult days.

Everything is designed to be easily accessible, without pressure to keep up.

Our mission is to help create awareness and find your own serenity, one moment at a time.

Soul and science agree: serenity starts with small, sacred acts

What Makes Us Different?

Most organisations focus on treatment updates, advocacy, or peer forums. We complement that important work by offering something different — a sanctuary for the inner journey.

Here, evidence-based practices meet lived experience. Our space is inclusive of every journey — curable, incurable, chronic, or caring.

It is safe and moderated, so your story is respected. And it is led by someone who has walked this path herself and knows how heavy it can feel.

Your Invitation

The Serenity Project isn’t about pushing harder, being more positive, or pretending everything is okay.

It’s about something far more meaningful: accepting what is, finding courage in small steps, and choosing serenity in the everyday.

Because healing isn’t about doing more, it’s about being, because you are a human being, not a human doing.
